The founder
I built Analysport for the coaches I work alongside every day
— Aurélien Padolus, pro handball player in the Star Ligue
Every week I watch staff lose hours clipping footage instead of working on tactics. Analysport is my answer to that.
Professional player in the Star Ligue
I play in the Star Ligue — France's top men's division. Day to day, I work with staff, video analysts and coaches who run their whole season on match analysis. I also draw on Sport Performance Analyse, a video-analysis practice certified through IHF training, to keep the clipping true to how the game actually plays.
That seat gives me something rare: a look inside how video analysis actually gets done, at every level. The pro club with a dedicated analyst. The N2 coach clipping his matches alone at 11pm. The N1 coach who dreams of having Dartfish but can't afford to run it properly.
They all share one thing: they sink a huge amount of time into the same task. Clipping sequences by hand.
Why I built Analysport
The idea didn't come from a product brief. It came from the same conversation, over and over, with coaches and analysts.
Always the same story. The weekend match. Three hours of clipping on Sunday night. Monday already starting behind on session prep. Phases tagged wrong that have to be redone. The clip that vanishes into the "unsorted" folder.
Handball video analysis has become a must at every level. Manual clipping, though, hasn't changed in ten years. It's still done entirely by hand. Nobody really tried to automate it for handball.
I went looking for a tool that would do it. It didn't exist. The options out there were either too expensive, built for football, or needed a dedicated analyst to be worth anything.
So I started building it. Not alone — with coaches who agreed to tell me what worked and what didn't. And with my own time on the court to recognise game phases the way a coach sees them, not the way a developer imagines them.
Built by a player, for coaches
When an engineer with no handball background builds a video analysis tool, they sell generic AI wrapped in vocabulary copied from a bigger sport. Coaches see right through it — they know the person across from them doesn't get it.
With Analysport, the clipping follows the logic of handball itself. Not a multi-sport tool bent to fit. The sequences you get back use your vocabulary — the one you use on the court, not a developer's.
My commitment
Three principles behind every product decision.
Coaches first
Analysport serves the coach, not the other way around. No gadget features. No complexity for the sake of looking pro. If a feature doesn't save a handball coach time, it doesn't ship.
Fits your workflow
Dartfish and XPS are powerful tools, used by federations and required at certain levels. Analysport doesn't replace them. It preps your work upstream so you win back two to three hours per match.
Within reach for grassroots clubs
A tool this good shouldn't be reserved for elite clubs. Pricing will be tuned over time based on field feedback, how clubs actually use it and the time saved we can measure. The goal is for the Sunday N1 coach to have access, not just pro staff.
